Christopher Lockhart has been perhaps the most well-known screenplay reader for decades, though his position and experience go far beyond the usual industry reader duties. He was the trusted analyst to legendary agent Ed Limato and survived a merger to continue on to his current role at talent agency WME. For years Chris has been integral in finding and evaluating projects for A-list agency clients like Denzel Washington and Mel Gibson.

A producer in his own right and creator of The Inside Pitch podcast and Facebook community, Chris has a unique perspective on the industry and is ever-generous with his time and insight.

In this Q&A, we discuss what actors look for on the page, how to approach faith-based screenplays, and turning true events into movies… among the many other viewer questions Chris graciously answers on the spot.

(And if you watch closely, you’ll see Chris aaaaaalmost do a spit-take thanks to a live viewer comment. Worth watching for this alone.)
